University Players is Indiana University's student theatre troupe. We are a group of actors, designers, and collaborators committed to telling the stories that need to be told.
UP is about contemporary work, with a focus on
highlighting the voices of women, people of color, and those of us who too often go overlooked.
Our productions are open to all IU undergraduates. And we are always looking for directors, designers, stage managers, and more besides those wanting to be onstage.
UP is a nonprofit organization, and we do accept donations if you share our vision for student work!

University Players is the brainchild of students who crave more opportunities to let their creativity shine. Designers, directors, and actors all get a chance to
build on IU's campus. Since UP is only open to undergraduates, we give students who aren't already part of a program an opportunity to showcase their talents. Instead of having to wait until after school, UP's team gets to see their work onstage now. |
UP Turns 21!

UP produces a combination of plays, musicals, and dance concerts. Occasionally, our season includes a brand new play or musical to be workshopped.
This season is our 21st anniversary. Since everyone knows your 21st birthday is a time to go all out, we decided to do something special. Six shows. That includes two plays, two musicals, a dance concert, and a workshop musical. From rock musicals to singing dinosaurs, we have a truly exciting lineup this year. |
